Norwich City midfielder Sam Field says he can 'feel the momentum' as the club look to continue their push away from the relegation places.
Saturday's FA Cup fourth round victory at home to West Bromich Albion was a seventh win in eight matches in all competitions.
Five successive league victories have taken the Canaries up to 17th in the Championship, six places and 30 points better off than when Philippe Clement replaced Liam Manning in November.
"I haven't been here long, but I can feel the momentum. When you've got it, you don't want to let it slip easily, so it didn't matter that it was the FA Cup. The manager made it very clear how important it was to us."
Field, 27, was one of five January signings brought in to bolster the squad, arriving on loan from fellow Championship side QPR.
He was a substitute in their league victory over Blackburn, and has started in wins over Oxford United and West Brom.
Field says the positive mood has helped them all settle in, adding: "Its a lot nicer to come into such a dressing-room, rather than one that's struggling that's for sure.
"I've been here two weeks, and I've actually been surprised by how much quality there is, and surprised they've been in the situation they are, but its the Championship, it eats you up if you're not careful."
Norwich are now seven points clear of the relegation places with 14 matches remaining, and are just nine points off the top seven.
Field said: "Look - with this manager, this group of players, it's a very strong combination, so if you can keep momentum going in this league you can build something very, very strong."
"I don't want to jinx anything, it's early days and football changes so quickly. I've been around long enough for that, so we take it game by game. For sure, the momentum is here, and I'm glad to be here."
Unable to win at home until November, the Canaries have since won seven out of nine at Carrow Road, and welcome Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday in their next two matches.
Field insists that despite the side's impressive form, they're not getting ahead of themselves.
"A good week and a bad week make a hell of a difference in the Championship. I can tell the manager and the players here will keep their feet firmly on the ground. It's a very young group, and it's hungry.
"The beauty is there is still a lot to play for this year, so if you can look up instead of down, you can make whatever you want this season to be".
