The Canadian men’s hockey team appears to be in pretty good health heading into Wednesday’s Olympic quarterfinal.
Canada coach Jon Cooper gave updates on four players when talking to reporters on Tuesday.
Cooper said the Florida Panthers forward will be available for the quarterfinal after missing the past two games.
Cooper said the Winnipeg Jets defenceman looked good in practice Tuesday, but he had to check on his status for Wednesday.
Both forwards missed practice on Tuesday, but Cooper referred to the absences as maintenance days. He expects both players will be good to go Wednesday.
Canada will face the winner of Tuesday’s Czechia-Denmark game. The quarterfinal will be Wednesday at 10:40 a.m. ET / 7:40 a.m. PT (CBC Gem, Sportsnet+).
