2026 Minnesota Vikings free agent preview: Cornerback Fabian Moreau

As we move closer to the next stage of the offseason, we want to ensure there is a complete preview of the Vikings heading into 2026. So to achieve that, we will be doing free agent previews for notable players the team will have on the market in the coming weeks.

In this piece, we will be previewing cornerback Fabian Moreau.

The Vikings' free agency will be both interesting and pivotal to their success in 2026. As they look for a new general manager after the NFL Draft, the interim role will fall on Rob Brzezinski. With not much salary cap space, it makes discussing free agency that much more of a tightrope act than before.

So with the table set, here is a free agent preview.

Background

  • College: UCLA
  • Year Drafted: 2017 (3rd Round)
  • Notable Achievements: N/A

Notable 2025 Statistics

  • 11 Tackles
  • 2 Pass Breakups

Projected Contract Value

Player Summary

Fabian Moreau was a sneaky player on the Vikings' defense in 2025 as he flew under the radar while playing well for what he was assigned. The secondary needs some help, but having someone like Moreau stashed for depth and various roles isn't a bad thing to have. Brian Flores' return could be a good thing for him if he wants to be back in Minnesota. However, he could sign elsewhere and see his role expand just as well.
