In a must‑win game, Texas A&M dug deep and delivered its most resilient performance of the season—overcoming a rough shooting night and a late double‑digit deficit to beat Ole Miss 80–77 on Gary Blair Court. The victory snaps a four‑game losing streak and keeps the Aggies’ postseason hopes alive.
For most of the night, it looked like A&M was headed for its fifth straight loss. Ole Miss controlled the tempo, looked fresher, and dictated the game on both ends. The Aggies once again struggled to generate offense inside or out, heading into halftime down 38–33 after shooting just 35.5% from the field and 18.2% from three.
The second half brought signs of life offensively, but the defensive issues lingered. A&M simply couldn’t string together stops—until it absolutely had to. Down seven with four minutes remaining, the Aggies found a second wind and closed the game on a decisive 12–2 run, flipping the script and stealing a crucial SEC win.
Rashaun Agee came up big yet again, recording his 11th double‑double of the season. Ruben Dominguez rediscovered his rhythm as well, scoring 13 points and going perfect from the free‑throw line in the clutch.
A&M escaped with a win, and while the overall performance still raises concerns, the way they finished was undeniably encouraging. At this stage of the season, a win is a win—and the Aggies will take them any way they can get them.
