Olympic gold medalists the world over cash in on endorsements after they return home as victors. For Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam, her first major payday could already be in the works.
According to a February 16 report in the Daily Mail, “Jake Paul's fiancée Jutta Leerdam 'pockets $1m from flashing underwear at the Winter Olympics' - and her gold-medal tears are raking in the cash too!”
The “underwear” in question is her Nike sports bra “undergarment” she revealed after unzipping her racing suit after not only taking home the gold medal in the 1,000 meters for the Netherlands, but breaking an Olympic record, too. “Jutta Leerdam could earn $1million (£730,000) from Nike, whose sports bra she showed off at the Winter Olympics, an advertising expert has claimed,” writes the outlet.
“The image of the visibly emotional Leerdam quickly hit the back pages of newspapers and websites across the globe - and was quickly redistributed by Nike's 298 million Instagram followers,” notes the outlet.

The source estimating $1 million is Fredereique de Laat, the founder of Branthlete. The specialist in female athlete advertising gave the quote to Dutch newspaper AD, calculating the number based on Leerdam’s 6.2 million followers.
As for her “gold medal tears” mentioned in the headline? “Leerdam also found herself being targeted by Dutch retailer Hema in the wake of her gold medal win,” reports the Daily Mail, “after her makeup ran down her face when she cried.”

Shiffrin Wins Second Olympic Slalom Gold
The 30-year-old American dominated the women's slalom in the Dolomites with a two-run time of 1:39.10, finishing 1.50 seconds ahead of Switzerland's Camille Rast for silver. This was the largest winning margin in Olympic alpine skiing since 1998 and ended an eight-year Olympic gold drought for Shiffrin.
Sweden's Anna Swenn Larsson claimed bronze, while fourth-placed Wendy Holdener of Switzerland was the only other skier within two seconds of the winner.

Barça: Hansi Flick speeds up Pedri's return
FC Barcelona is eager to welcome back one of its key pillars. Sidelined for a month due to a thigh muscle injury, Pedri is edging closer to a timely comeback, just as the Blaugrana have suffered two alarming defeats against Atlético de Madrid and then Girona.
Flick preparing a gradual return
According to Sport, Hansi Flick has mapped out a detailed program to reintegrate his midfielder without taking unnecessary risks. Pedri is expected to resume training as early as Thursday, targeting a return to playing time this coming weekend in the match against Levante.
The German coach is planning to gradually ramp up Pedri's involvement, aiming for him to be fully match-fit for the upcoming decisive fixtures. Barça is particularly focused on having the player at 100% for the clash against Villarreal and the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Atlético, ahead of a European schedule that promises to be especially demanding.

However, the USA freestyle skier didn’t receive a gold medal like many viewers expected him to based on his phenomenal individual effort.
Forehand debuted a ‘nose-butter triple cork 2160’ on Tuesday, which has never been completed by any athlete at the Winter Olympics. The American was visibly stunned and emotional after bringing home a silver medal in the event.

Norway’s Tormod Frostad brought home the gold medal for the European nation. Meanwhile, Norway continues to dominate the Winter Olympics with the most medals for any country.
