Verstappen weighs 2026 retirement amid new F1 rules

Four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen has said he could retire at the end of 2026 if the new regulations don't appeal to him.

Verstappen, who has dominated the sport, criticised the 2026 car design but clarified that criticism does not preclude him from racing. He remains open to continuing if the changes prove engaging.

The Dutchman told reporters in Bahrain that his decision will hinge on how the new cars perform and whether they bring the excitement he expects.
