The Chicago Bears announced roster moves on Tuesday, signing undrafted defensive back Marlen Sewell to take the roster spot of defensive lineman Jonathan Garvin, who was placed on injured reserve. Sewell, out of Vanderbilt, had 52 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a half-sack and two passes defensed last season. rouesnews.click
Garvin, who played in 38 games for the Packers between 2020 and 2022, has not appeared in a game over the last three seasons. Sewell signed with the Chiefs after the draft but was released by Kansas City in June.
