Bills' Gardner-Johnson diagnosed with calf strain

Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has been diagnosed with a lower calf strain after being carted off during Saturday's practice.

An MRI delivered good news for Gardner-Johnson, who will miss practice time but has six weeks until the season opener. The Bills signed the 28-year-old safety as a free agent this offseason.

The seven-year veteran played three games for the Texans and 10 for the Bears last season, totaling 66 tackles, three sacks, four passes defensed and two interceptions. In his career, he has recorded 370 tackles, 20 interceptions, 55 pass breakups and seven sacks. cat-cross.com
