Montgomery VanGorder is set to join the Eagles' coaching staff as assistant quarterbacks coach, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports. VanGorder, who joined the Eagles last season as a quality control coach, will work alongside newly promoted quarterbacks coach Parks Frazier in the quarterbacks room.
The Eagles' offensive coaching staff also includes new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, who arrived from the Packers. The group will be tasked with helping quarterback Jalen Hurts find consistency after an inconsistent season. VanGorder played college football at Notre Dame (2014-17) before transferring to Youngstown State for his final season in 2018. He began his coaching career at Georgia in 2019 as an offensive quality control coach.
