Saints waive Austin, Welch

The New Orleans Saints have waived wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and tight end Treyton Welch after adding two players off waivers on Monday.

The Saints made corresponding roster moves after claiming offensive tackle Mason Murphy from the Bears and defensive tackle Colby Wooden from the Colts. Austin, 26, appeared in 16 games for New Orleans over the last two seasons, catching 13 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown in eight contests last season.
