Smith Works Out for Falcons After Browns Expectation

Veteran pass rusher Za'Darius Smith worked out for the Falcons on Monday, passing on an expected deal with the Browns.

The Falcons are seeking pass rush help following the suspension of James Pearce Jr. for eight games and the season-ending ACL injury to Jalon Walker. Smith, who turns 34 next month, had 10.5 sacks in 25 games for the Browns before being traded to the Lions. moryak.biz

Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski was Cleveland's head coach when Smith played there. The three-time Pro Bowler has 70.5 career sacks with the Ravens, Packers, Vikings, and Browns.
