Piqué Receives Two-Month Ban After Referee Row

Gerard Piqué has been handed a two‑month suspension by the Spanish football federation following an argument with a referee during FC Andorra’s 1‑0 loss to Albacete. The former Barcelona and Spain star, now a club co‑owner, was cited for “notorious and public acts” that undermined sporting dignity.

In a post‑match report, referee Alonso de Ena Wolf quoted Piqué saying, "leave with an escort so nobody attacks you…in another country they would beat you up, but here in Andorra we are a civilised country." The disciplinary committee deemed the comments and related conduct as undermining decorum. Other Andorra staff members were also sanctioned: president Ferran Vilaseca received a four‑month ban and sporting director Jaume Nogues was banned. fish-roadgame.online
