49ers Target Seumalo for OL Help

ESPN's Matt Bowen has identified the San Francisco 49ers as the best landing spot for free agent offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo.

The San Francisco 49ers need to bolster their offensive line this offseason, particularly at left guard where two of their three starters from 2025 are set to hit free agency. ESPN's Matt Bowen believes Isaac Seumalo would be the perfect fit, citing his ability to excel in both zone and gap run concepts while providing solid pass protection for quarterback Brock Purdy.

Seumalo, a 10-year veteran who won a Super Bowl with the Eagles and made the Pro Bowl in 2024 with the Steelers, boasts impressive stats with a 97.3% pass rush win rate and 76.9% run block win rate last season. While the 33-year-old wouldn't be a long-term solution, he could provide valuable stability for 1-2 seasons as the 49ers develop younger options.
