Arizona Women's Basketball Falls to Colorado 78-70

The Arizona Wildcats suffered a heartbreaking 78-70 loss to Colorado on Saturday, despite forcing 25 turnovers and getting strong performances from Sumayah Sugapong and Noelani Cornfield.

Despite forcing 25 turnovers and getting 12 steals (with Noelani Cornfield contributing six steals), Arizona couldn't overcome a late fourth quarter collapse. Sumayah Sugapong started strong with the first eight points and hit four 3-pointers throughout the game, but it wasn't enough as Colorado secured the victory.

The Wildcats were in position to win but couldn't close out the game. Head coach Becky Burke acknowledged the team was 'in a position to win it' before making some costly mistakes down the stretch.
