Badosa earns Linz Open wildcard after Charleston run

After a solid performance in Charleston, where she reached the round of 16, Spain’s Paula Badosa was granted a wildcard into the Linz Open.

Paula Badosa ended her Charleston Open campaign in the round of 16 after back‑to‑back wins over Kayla Day and Maria Sakkari, before falling to Anna Kalinskaya in straight sets.

The Spanish star, ranked 102, has been awarded a wildcard into the inaugural WTA 250 Linz Open, which will run from April 6 to 12 in Austria. The entry gives Badosa a chance to regain momentum and close the gap back into the top 100.
