Bilbao and San Sebastián propose joint 2030 World Cup venue

The Basque authorities have decided to submit a joint bid for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, combining Bilbao's San Mamés and San Sebastián's Anoeta stadiums.

The Basque institutions, including the cities of Bilbao and San Sebastián, the provincial councils of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, the Basque Government, Athletic Club and Real Sociedad, have sent an official document to FIFA confirming their intention to pursue a joint 2030 World Cup bid featuring San Mamés and Anoeta.
