Palmeiras extended their lead at the top of the Brazilian Championship after beating Bahia in the 10th round, while Corinthians sacked coach Dorival Júnior following a defeat to Internacional.

Chapecoense played most of their match with a man advantage but could only draw 1-1 with Vitória. In other results, Galo beat Athletico, Flamengo came from behind to defeat Santos, and Red Bull Bragantino beat struggling Mirassol. Grêmio and Remo played to a 0-0 draw after Remo missed a penalty and went down to 10 men.

The updated table shows Bahia, Flamengo, Botafogo, Vitória, Chapecoense, and Mirassol each have one game in hand. Matchday 11 begins on Saturday with Vitória facing São Paulo.
