Cyclist Dies After Watching Accident Online

Colin Wilson, a champion cyclist, died during the Easter International Cycling Grand Prix in Trinidad and Tobago on April 3, after his wife watched the fatal accident unfold online.

Wilson attempted to avoid a fallen cyclist but collided with the fencing lining the track, sustaining critical neck injuries. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.

His wife, Tricia Jeffers, was watching the event on YouTube with one of their sons when the accident occurred. 'I thought, 'Wait Colin fall?' and then I just saw all the blood,' she recalled. Wilson was described as a pioneer who inspired generations of young athletes in Trinidad and Tobago.
