Ghana's Addo on 'Special' Germany Friendly

Ghana coach Otto Addo calls Monday's friendly against Germany 'special,' arranged over breakfast after both nations were drawn into the same World Cup group.

The 50-year-old Addo, who has dual citizenship and was born in Ghana but raised in Germany, described the match as very personal. "I was born and raised in Germany, live in Dusseldorf, it will be a very special match for me," he told Funke publishing papers.

After Ghana's 5-1 loss in Austria, Addo remains optimistic for his team's World Cup campaign against England, Croatia and Panama. "We have nothing to lose," he said, noting that teams like Ghana are often underestimated. The match was arranged when Germany's delegation asked about a test match after both teams ended up in the same World Cup group following the draw in Washington.
