GSU Unveils 5-Year Plan to Raise $10M and Boost Attendance

Georgia State University Athletics has unveiled a five‑year plan to boost annual fundraising to $10 million and raise fan attendance by 50%, focusing on new facilities and student‑athlete revenue sharing.

The plan, guided by Athletics Director Charlie Cobb and President M. Brian Blake, targets a $10 million annual fundraising goal and a 50 % increase in fan attendance. It will appoint a general manager to drive revenue growth and expand name‑image‑likeness opportunities for athletes.

Key projects include a new baseball stadium, covered football practice field, and upgraded basketball, volleyball, and softball facilities in the Summerhill athletics hub, along with beach volleyball courts, tennis courts and hospitality areas. The department also aims to exceed $3 million in revenue sharing for student‑athletes and set competitive targets for conference championships in football and men’s basketball.
