Kentucky Eyes Liberty Guard Brett Decker Jr.

Elizabethtown, Kentucky, native Brett Decker Jr. has emerged as a top transfer portal prospect after a 49.9% shooting season with Liberty Flames. Kentucky’s Mark Pope could use his 47.1% three‑point accuracy to fill a gap in the Wildcats’ offense.

Brett Decker Jr., a 5th Region Player of the Year at Central Hardin High School, averaged 16.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game for the Liberty Flames in 2025‑26. He earned First‑Team All‑Conference USA honors and shot 49.9% from the floor and 47.1% from beyond the arc.

With the transfer portal opening on April 7, reports suggest Kentucky may pursue Decker to plug a three‑point shooting gap in Mark Pope’s offense. The Elizabethtown native’s experience and shooting prowess could help the Wildcats return to the style that propelled them to the Sweet 16 under Pope.
