López, Soler brawl in Braves-Angels game

Braves pitcher Reynaldo López and Angels designated hitter Jorge Soler engaged in a physical altercation during Tuesday's game in the fifth inning, resulting in both players being ejected.

Tensions had been building throughout the contest, with Soler hitting a two-run homer in the first inning and getting hit by a 96 mph fastball in the third. The situation escalated when López threw a high fastball to Soler during his third plate appearance, which led to a staredown and eventually fists being thrown.

The former teammates—López previously played for the Angels and Soler for the Braves—had to be separated by players from both teams, with Angels star Mike Trout intervening to push López away.
