The New York Mets defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-0 in eleven innings, with Luis Robert Jr. delivering a dramatic three-run walk-off home run to start his tenure.

Both offenses were held scoreless until extras on a chilly afternoon at Citi Field. The Mets allowed the ghost runner to score in the tenth and eleventh but tied it in the bottom of the tenth before Robert's heroics secured the win.

The Braves also celebrated a walk-off victory, with Dominic Smith hitting a grand slam in his debut, becoming the first player in MLB history to achieve that feat. Meanwhile, the Phillies fell to the Rangers 5-4 in ten innings.
