Mets dispatch Giants 9-0 in Holmes-Myers shutout

Clay Holmes and Tobias Myers combined on a three‑hit shutout as the Mets routed the Giants 9‑0.

Clay Holmes pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing only one base‑runner and striking out four while walking two. Tobias Myers finished the job, retiring the final six batters in order for the Mets’ first shutout of the season.

Mark Vientos collected three hits, and Tyrone Taylor homered for three runs, driving in four. The Giants fell to 1‑5 at home, with Jeremy Encarnacion and Jung Hoo Lee each getting a single as the offense sputtered.
