NCAA Probes Cincinnati Over Sorsby Gambling

The NCAA has sent a formal letter of inquiry to the University of Cincinnati regarding former quarterback Brendan Sorsby and his gambling issues during his two seasons with the program.

The NCAA is investigating what Cincinnati knew about Sorsby's gambling while he was with the Bearcats. Sorsby was ruled permanently ineligible in April for placing thousands of impermissible sports bets worth at least $90,000 during his college career. djcc.club

Sorsby spent two seasons at Cincinnati before transferring to Texas Tech, which has since cut ties with him. The Cincinnati spokesperson stated the school has had continuous conversations with the NCAA and doesn't believe any athletics official was aware of the impermissible sports wagering.
