Nebraska Baseball Falls to Kansas State 5-3

Nebraska dropped the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series opener to Kansas State on Saturday night by a score of 5-3.

Despite holding a 3-1 lead entering the sixth inning, the Huskers could not stop Kansas State's rally. Joshua Overbeek provided the offense with a two-RBI double, while Mac Moyer went 2-for-3. Kansas State capitalized on seven walks and four hits, with Carlos Vasquez delivering a 3-for-4 performance and four RBIs to secure the victory.

Carson Jasa started on the mound for Nebraska, striking out eight over five and two-thirds innings, but J'Shawn Unger took the loss in relief. The series concludes Sunday afternoon with a matchup against No. 16 Florida State at 2:30 p.m. CT.
