Shokalook Signs MLS Contract After Next Pro Success

Erie native Jason Shokalook has signed an MLS contract through 2026 after a stellar 2025 season where he won the MLS Next Pro Golden Boot with 20 goals and was named MVP finalist.

Jason Shokalook, who grew up in Erie, PA, has signed an MLS contract through the 2026 season with options for 2027 and 2028. The 22-year-old forward made his mark in MLS Next Pro with Chicago Fire II, scoring a league-high 20 goals during the 2025 season.

After being selected 35th overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, Shokalook developed through the MLS Next Pro system, earning recognition as a finalist for the league's MVP award. His journey from Erie to professional soccer included standout performances at the University of Akron before his rise in professional ranks.
