Spain Police Probe Anti-Muslim Chants at Egypt Friendly

Police in Spain are probing reports of anti‑Muslim and xenophobic chants by Spain fans during the friendly match against Egypt in Barcelona. The investigation follows repeated chants that were described as “Islamophobic and xenophobic.”

Spain’s coach Luis de la Fuente and justice minister Félix Bolaños publicly condemned the behaviour, calling it “xenophobic or racist.” Both officials urged that such attitudes have no place in football.
