A three-man breakaway leads the Tour de France 2026 stage two from Tarragona to Barcelona, with Alex Molenaar, Frank van den Broeck and Felix Engelhardt 3:20 ahead of the peloton.

Three riders have established a breakaway in the second stage of Tour de France 2026, traveling 168.5km from Tarragona to Barcelona. The leaders are Alex Molenaar (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA), Frank van den Broeck (Picnic PostNL) and German champion Felix Engelhardt (Jayco Alula).

The breakaway currently holds a 3 minutes 20 seconds advantage over the main peloton. Meanwhile, Lotto Intermarché rider Baptiste Veistroffer briefly found himself isolated as the bunch slowed for a "nature break" during the stage. extract-html.com
