Keelan Harvick, who will be eligible for the 2031 Daytona 24 years after his father's win, has abandoned plans for a European racing career after an incident at an Italian karting event. The 13-year-old will drive the No. 62 Toyota Camry with ExxonMobil sponsorship in dozens of late model races this year, partnering with RACKLEY W.A.R. and Kevin Harvick, Inc.
The move marks a shift for the Harvick family, as Kevin Harvick never drove for Toyota during his 23-year career. 'I felt like the Toyota process matched what we would do,' the elder Harvick explained, noting Toyota's focus on both driving development and human support was a key factor in their decision.
