Bayern's Ito injured again ahead of Dortmund topper

Bayern Munich centre back Hiroki Ito has suffered another injury setback in the form of a hamstring problem, the Bundesliga leaders said on Friday.

Bayern said that Ito is out of action "for the time being" with "a muscle strain in his right hamstring."

Ito, 26, came to Bayern in 2024 from VfB Stuttgart but due to various injuries has featured in only 23 matches, 15 of them this season.

Bayern's announcement came the day before their Bundesliga table topper at Borussia Dortmund.
