The NFL informed teams on Friday that the 2026 salary cap has been set at $301.2 million. That marks a $22 million jump from 2025's cap limit, and a $103 million jump since the cap was $198.2 million in 2020.
So, what does it mean for the Denver Broncos?
The team currently has $276,577,391 worth of cap space going toward "Top 51" contracts, according to OverTheCap.com. Only the top 51 contracts count against a team's cap during the offseason, so that total subtracted from $301.2 million leaves Denver with about $24,622,609 in remaining cap space. That ranks about 14th in the NFL.
The Broncos, of course, will have the flexibility to create additional cap space if they want to. Denver could make up to $71,678,826 available through simple restructures, according to OTC. The club seems unlikely to max out all of their simple restructure possibilities, but some deals could be tweaked to give the team more flexibility.
With NFL free agency set to begin next month, the Broncos are in a healthy cap situation.
