Okafor's Number Retired by UConn

UConn men's basketball legend Emeka Okafor has become just the third player in program history to have his jersey number retired.

Former UConn star Emeka Okafor had his jersey number retired during a ceremony at the XL Center, making him only the third men's basketball player in the program's history to receive this honor.

Okafor, who led the Huskies to the 2004 NCAA championship, joins Ray Allen and Donyell Marshall as the only UConn men's players with retired numbers. The 6-foot-10 center was the second overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft and had a successful 11-year career in the league.
