Boston College took a 64-56 lead with 1:42 remaining but would not make another field goal until Shaw's game-winner. Juke Harris gave Wake Forest its first lead of the second half with 18.8 seconds left after back-to-back 3-pointers. Fred Payne scored 23 points for the Eagles, while Shaw finished with 11. The victory was Boston College's first since Jan. 21.
Harris scored a career-high 38 points for Wake Forest, shooting 12 of 19 from the field including 6 of 12 from distance. The rest of his teammates combined to go just 10-of-43 overall.
