Young Close to Wizards Debut, Davis Still Out

Trae Young is nearing his Washington Wizards debut after ramping up basketball activities, while Anthony Davis continues his recovery from hand ligament damage.

Washington announced on Thursday that Young, who last played on Dec. 27, will be evaluated next week as he continues recovering from an MCL sprain and thigh bruise. The 27-year-old had been practicing in one-on-none and two-on-two settings earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Davis, who last played on Jan. 8, visited hand surgeon Steven Shin in Los Angeles following rehab in Dallas. The 32-year-old will be reevaluated in two weeks as he recovers from ligament damage in his hand.
