Colts Grant Richardson Trade Permission

The Indianapolis Colts have given quarterback Anthony Richardson permission to seek a trade after he lost the QB competition to Daniel Jones.

Anthony Richardson, the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has been granted permission to seek a trade by the Indianapolis Colts. The decision comes after Richardson lost the competition for the starting quarterback position to Daniel Jones, whom the Colts plan to keep as their QB1 for 2026 and beyond.

The 23-year-old Richardson has faced injury challenges throughout his young career, including an orbital fracture and shoulder surgery. In 11 starts during the 2024 season, he completed just 47.7% of his passes for 1,814 yards with eight touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
