ASIC has launched legal proceedings against Budget Direct, claiming thousands of policyholders were overcharged and denied promised online discounts.

ASIC is taking legal action over allegations that Budget Direct customers lost online discounts they were promised and were overcharged.

The regulator alleges tens of thousands of customers were affected by these pricing discrepancies.
