Barcelona Adjust Travel Plan Ahead of Newcastle CL Clash

Barcelona have altered their travel schedule ahead of the Champions League Round‑of‑16 first leg against Newcastle United. Rather than a connecting flight, the Catalans will fly directly from Bilbao to Newcastle after their match with Athletic Club. The change aims to give players optimal rest before the grueling away fixture.

The squad will stay the night of Saturday in Bilbao, then depart Sunday for Newcastle, where they will lodge at Maften Hall Hotel. A training session is planned for Monday afternoon at St. James’ Park, followed by a press conference with coach Hansi Flick and a player.
