Celtics Sign 24-Year-Old Guard John Tonje to Two-Way Deal

The Celtics announced on Sunday that they have signed 24‑year‑old guard John Tonje to a two‑way contract. The move follows a trade that sent Tonje from the Utah Jazz to Boston earlier this month.

Tonje, a 2025 second‑round pick, posted 19.6 points per game at Wisconsin and earned consensus Second Team All‑American honors. He also set school records for free‑throw percentage (90.9%) and made 231 free throws in a season.
