Cincinnati sues QB Sorsby over $1M transfer buyout

Cincinnati has filed a lawsuit against Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby seeking $1 million, alleging he violated the terms of his revenue-sharing deal by transferring early.

The Bearcats claim Sorsby promised to pay liquidated damages if he transferred before December 2026. His representative refutes the claims, calling the lawsuit "misguided" and stating they parted ways mutually.

Cincinnati emphasized honoring its contractual commitments to athletes.
