Formula 1 has extended its broadcasting agreement with Kayo Sports in Australia through 2027, continuing a partnership that began when Foxtel secured rights in 2015 and ended free-to-air coverage. The announcement came ahead of this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, which will continue to be shown for free by Network 10.

Australian fans expressed disappointment on social media, with many calling for Apple TV to secure the rights instead of Kayo. Viewers criticized the service's pricing, with basic plans at $29.99 monthly and premium at $45.99. Kayo recently added an F1TV commentary option after fans accused Sky Sports' team of bias toward British driver Lando Norris over teammate Oscar Piastri.
