Lions trade David Montgomery to Texans for draft pick

The Lions sent David Montgomery to the Texans in exchange for a draft pick, a move that frees about $3.5 million in cap space. Montgomery, who had a reduced role in 2023, was unhappy with his limited touches behind Jahmyr Gibbs.
