Dillon Mitchell, a 16-year-old track phenom at C.E. King High School, has been breaking records since age six, becoming the fastest freshman and sophomore in US history. Coached by his father Billy since age four, Mitchell attributes his success to racing against "ghosts" - the best athletes who have ever competed - and pushing himself beyond his limits.
Despite his impressive US number-one time in the 60 meters, Mitchell remains grounded, treating his achievements as "no big deal" and enjoying being a teenager. With plans to compete in both football and track in college, the young athlete is focused on qualifying for the 2028 Olympics while maintaining a balanced approach to his developing career.
