Tyson vs Mayweather Set for April in Congo

Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will face off in an exhibition boxing match on April 25 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the event honoring the legacy of the Rumble in the Jungle.

The bout, confirmed by Ring Magazine's Mike Coppinger, was initially planned for March in Africa. Mayweather had been in negotiations for a rematch with Manny Pacquiao on Netflix, but those talks stalled, leading to the exhibition against Tyson. The event marks 52 years since the historic Rumble in the Jungle fight in Congo. Tyson, 59, last fought in November 2024 against Jake Paul, while Mayweather, 48, hasn't had a professional bout since 2017 but has participated in several exhibitions since his retirement.
