Wynn Leaves Tennessee Program After Senior Day Disappointment

Tennessee guard Kaiya Wynn announced she is leaving the program after reaching a breaking point over her lack of playing time, specifically regarding not starting on senior day.

Tennessee guard Kaiya Wynn announced she is stepping away from the Lady Vol program after reaching a breaking point over not starting on senior day. In a post on X, Wynn expressed frustration that she was asked to enter a game with 15 seconds left while losing, marking her final appearance in Thompson-Boling.

Wynn missed all of last season with an Achilles injury but played in just nine games this year, averaging only 5.8 minutes per contest. Prior to the injury, she was a solid reserve. The team is currently struggling with a 2-9 record in its last 11 games, and Wynn reportedly declined to enter a late game against Vanderbilt.
