Walker Buehler, who pitched for the Dodgers from 2017-24, turned down a $20 million offer from Los Angeles before joining Boston and Philadelphia last season. The right-hander had a 3.27 ERA in 131 appearances with the Dodgers but struggled with Boston (5.45 ERA) before performing better with Philadelphia (0.66 ERA).
The Padres, who have lost several pitchers this offseason, could use Buehler to fill a spot in their rotation as he looks to re-establish himself as a proven MLB starter.
