Drew Zundell: WV's Third Sub-4 Minute Miler

Drew Zundell, former University High state champion and current Syracuse Orange runner, became only the third West Virginian ever to record a sub-four-minute mile at a meet in Boston.

Drew Zundell, a former University High School state champion and current Syracuse Orange athlete, joined elite company when he became only the third runner from West Virginia to break the four-minute mile barrier. The SU sophomore crossed the finish line in 3:59.04 at a meet in Boston, MA, an achievement that Syracuse coach Chris Fox was on hand to witness. Fox, one of the other two West Virginians to achieve this feat, helped build Syracuse's running program, making the moment feel 'full-circle' for Zundell.
