Mexico Calls Up 7 Chivas Players for Iceland Friendly

Mexico has announced its roster for the friendly match against Iceland on February 25, featuring seven Chivas players, the most from any club.

Head coach Javier Aguirre called up seven players from Chivas, including Mexican-Americans Brian Gutierrez and Richard Ledezma, who previously represented the USMNT but chose Mexico. Former LA Galaxy player Efrain Alvarez was also included in the squad. The match at Estadio Corregidora in Queretaro is part of Mexico's preparation schedule, with players required to report starting Sunday.

America and Toluca each contributed four players to the roster, which consists exclusively of Liga MX players since the match falls outside an official FIFA international window. The squad features goalkeepers Luis Ángel Malagón, Raúl Rangel, and Carlos Acevedo, along with defenders, midfielders, and forwards from various Mexican clubs.
