Pat Fitzgerald comments on the college football calendar debate

The new leader of Michigan State football, Pat Fitzgerald went on a recent podcast with David Pollack, one of ESPN's lead college football analysts. In the midst of a great show, Fitzgerald brought up a hot button issue across the college football world.

Fitzgerald took a deep dive on the college football calendar, and the need to make a change in the calendar. He touched on moving up the start of the season, home playoff games like the NFL, FCS, D2, etc. He also touched on the national title game being moved up to Jan 1, while eliminating conference championship games.

He did not forget about bowl games, either, noting that they should be played a week after the season concludes.
